Wedding Photographers
Choosing a wedding photographer will help make your wedding memories last forever. A wedding photo album will last for decades, and it will be the reference point for family members in the years to come. The wedding album will be something that children, cousins, parents and others will look through often, reliving the memory of the wedding - even if they weren't able to be there in person.
A wedding photographer must be completely available to the bride and groom on the day of the wedding. He must be aware of the most important guests at the wedding, to ensure adequate good pictures are taken. The photographer must only take breaks when an associate or assistant is available to cover important things that are happening during the wedding and reception. No important moment can be missed.
Before choosing a photographer for your wedding, the bride and groom should speak to references provided by the photographer. The family should also decide what wedding photograph package will be selected, and work out how long the photographer will take wedding photos. You need to know when the photographer should arrive as well as the amount of time he will stay. If there is a chance the wedding will go longer than expected, the couple should build some overtime into the photographer's contract. There's nothing worse than the photographer missing an important moment at the end of the wedding because his allotted time expired.
On the day of wedding, if the weather is too hot, the bride, groom and guests may sweat, causing their faces to shine. Translucent powder can be used to remove the shine from the guest's faces. Weather can also factor into the time a photographer will be taking pictures before the wedding.
There are some often unrealized things to keep in mind related to the wedding photographer. A wedding photographer should not have a problem parking or finding a secure place to store his equipment. The wedding photographer should be able to take breaks without hauling his equipment around with them. Be sure to discuss the sequence of events with the photographer to ensure all shots are planned beforehand, thus preventing the photographer from missing an important photo opportunity.
The photographer should have a replacement who can show up if they get sick or can’t make it. A wedding album and a photo product for the happy couple is so important that preventative measure should be taken. A no-show fee should be negotiated and put into the contract. A deposit should be refunded plus a penalty fee if necessary. The bride and groom should actually see the photographer handle a camera and take pictures as examples. Nothing should be assumed. The discussion about past weddings and other photography’s assignments will help determine whether not a wedding photographer is the right candidate.
It is also important to see samples of wedding albums completed by the photographer. Choose elements from different samples and make sure your desired elements are incorporated into your final album. There are many types of albums - leather wedding albums, formal plastic variations, presentation albums, bonded leather scrapbooks, rustic styles, and everything in between. The bride and groom should make sure the photographer provides all of the images from the wedding in digital or print form, and they should select the best shots to go into their album - keeping friends and family in mind.
